About Our CEO
A leading publisher in Malayalam and the Chief Executive Officer of CSN Books, Thiruvananthapuram, C.S. Sivaprasad was born on 10th May 1965 as the son of Sri. Chandrasekharan Nair and Smt. Chandravalli Amma in Thiruvananthapuram. After completing the B.Com course at the age of 22 he entered into the publishing field as one of the founder Directors of Computech Publishers. He had eye ailments from childhood and became complete blind due to Glaucoma at the age of 25. But with determination, self confidence and hard work he paved his own way in the publishing field and established himself as one of the leading publishers in Malayalam and English. He took over as the Chief executive officer of CSN Books which was formed in November 2009. The first book published by this organization 5555 Thaliyola depicting traditional Indian beliefs and their scientific explanations was adjudged a rare publication by the Indian Expresses in a special feature. The adorable achievements of Sivaprasad in the field of publishing were highlighted in print and television media in Kerala. The ‘New Indian Express’ daily published an article about Sivaprasad in January 2010. All India Radio, Trivandrum station has broadcasted an exclusive interview of Sivaprasad. Kairali Television channel invited him to appear in their morning programme ‘Subha Din’. He was also invited to participate in the programme ‘Sarga Sangamam’ as a guest in Doordarsan. The ‘Jai Hind’ Television Channel had telecast an interview with Sivaprasad also. The Deshabhimani a leading daily of Kerala in December 2010 published an article titled ‘A publisher who transmits light through his inner eye.’ Another leading news paper of Kerala ‘Kerala Kaumudi Flash’ also published an article about Sivaprasad in April 2011, highlighting his achievements in the publishing field. ‘Mathrubhoomi’ a leading daily published an article titled ‘Irulum manasil Velichavumayi’ and ‘City Express English Daily’ published an article tittled ‘ A Saga of Success’ in 2011. Another leading news paper ‘Kerala Kaumudi’ daily published an article “Aksharalokathu Ulkannin Karuthumayi” in 2012. In addition to all these a number of articles appeared in different periodicals praising the high quality of books published through his guidance. The Award instituted by the government of Kerala for the physically challenged for the year 2010 was given to Sivaprasad for his meritorious contributions in the field of publishing. He is also the recepient of the Viswavedi Magazine Award 2011 and the Gandhi Darsan Prize 2011 of the Media Research Institute for the best publisher in Malayalam language. His life partner is Mrs. Preetha Sivaprasad. Gowri Prasad and Drona Prasad are his children.
